Cookie statement

This cookie statement applies to blueworkersmedia.nl. Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. This statement explains which cookies this site uses, what they are used for and how to change your choice.

The site has exactly two categories: necessary cookies, which are always enabled, and analytics, which load only if you consent. There are no other categories. Analytics remain disabled until you make a choice. Our privacy statement explains how we otherwise handle your data.

Necessary — always enabled

We set these cookies ourselves; they are not sent anywhere else:

• The preference cookie stores your own cookie choice so the cookie banner does not return on every page. It remains for 180 days, is sent only to this website and is transmitted only in encrypted form over an HTTPS connection. It contains no name, email address or other personal data.
• The preview cookie is set only when a Blue Workers Media editor opens a preview of content that has not yet been published. It remains for eight hours, cannot be read by browser scripts and contains only a timestamp with a signature. Visitors never receive this cookie.

The first cookie is needed for your choice to work; without it, every visit would ask for consent again.

Analytics — only with your consent

We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode for analytics. This works as follows:

• When each page loads, consent is set to “denied” by default — both for analytics and for the three advertising settings (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization). Until you make a choice, no Google script is loaded.
• If you choose “Accept analytics”, we load the gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com and set only analytics consent to “granted”. The three advertising settings always remain “denied”: we do not use the site for advertising, remarketing or building audiences. Google Analytics then sets its own cookies to recognise returning visits.
• If you choose “Reject analytics”, or later withdraw your consent, we reset consent to “denied” and remove the Google script from the page.

What do we measure with analytics?

Only events that describe how the site is used:

• which page you view (the path and type of page);
• clicks on buttons, email addresses and phone numbers, and links to our social channels;
• opening projects and services, filtering projects and starting a video;
• starting the contact form and its outcome: whether submission succeeded or, if not, the category of the error (validation, spam rate limit, delivery failure or unexpected error).

These measurements deliberately contain none of the form content: no name, company name, email address, phone number or message text. For a successful submission, we measure only that it succeeded and which route it took (storage, email or both).

Other parties contacted by your browser

Not every external request is a cookie. Even without consent, your browser loads:

• photos and videos from Sanity’s content CDN;
• the page itself from Vercel’s hosting, which also applies the contact form’s spam rate limit.

We do not set cookies ourselves with these requests, but the party concerned can see your IP address and browser data. You can read more in the privacy statement.

Changing your choice

The “Cookie preferences” button appears at the bottom of every page; “Change cookie preferences” appears at the bottom of this page. Both open the same panel as the banner, where you can allow or reject analytics. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings; if you delete the preference cookie, the banner will ask you to choose again.

This cookie statement applies from the date shown at the top of this page. If the cookies or what we measure changes, we will publish an updated version with a new effective date.
