Privacy statement

Blue Workers Media processes personal data from visitors to blueworkersmedia.nl and from anyone who contacts us through this website. This statement explains in plain language which data we process, why we process it, who we share it with, how long we retain it and what rights you have.

Which data do we process?

What you enter in the contact form

When you submit the form on the contact page, we process the fields you complete:

• name (required);
• company name (optional);
• email address (required);
• phone number (optional);
• the subjects you are interested in: videography, photography, recruitment productions or other (optional);
• subject (required);
• your message (required, up to 5,000 characters).

The form has no other fields. It contains one hidden field used solely to identify automated spam; anything entered there is discarded and is never stored or forwarded. We do process whatever you enter in the message field, of course, so please do not include data you would rather not share.

We also retain the time your request arrived, its processing status (New, Contacted, Quote sent or Completed), the time of the latest status change and whether the notification email arrived. We may also add an internal note to your request.

What is generated automatically when you visit the website

The website runs on Vercel. Every requested page passes through its servers, which process the technical data in your request, including your IP address. When you submit the contact form, Vercel also checks whether too many requests are being made in quick succession (spam rate limit).

Your browser loads photos and videos from Sanity’s content CDN. That request is sent directly from your browser, so Sanity can see your IP address and browser data. This happens on every visit, even if you reject analytics. Fonts are delivered by our own website; no external party is contacted for them.

Analytics

We measure analytics only if you consent. The exact measurements and the data we deliberately exclude are explained in the cookie statement.

Why do we use the data, and on what legal basis?

• To answer your request and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: performing a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
• To display the website and protect the form against misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website without spam.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not use your data for advertising and do not build profiles. We also do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Who do we share data with?

We do not sell data or share it for advertising. We work with the following parties to operate the website and handle requests:

• Sanity — our content management system. Every form submission is stored there as a contact request, in an environment accessible only to people with access to our Sanity Studio. Sanity also delivers the images on the site.
• Resend — the service that delivers our email. Your request is emailed to the Blue Workers Media inbox and includes your name, company name, email address, phone number, interests, subject and message, with your email address as the reply address.
• Vercel — the website hosting provider and the provider of the contact form’s spam rate limit.
• Google — Google Analytics 4 for analytics, solely after you have consented.

These parties process the data for us under the agreements made with them. We share data with others only when we are legally required to do so.

Google, Resend and Vercel are US companies. Your data may therefore be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All three are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Resend and Vercel also cover transfers through standard contractual clauses in their data processing agreements. Sanity stores our website content and contact requests within the European Union; only Sanity’s own user administration may involve US processors, also under a data processing agreement.

How long do we retain the data?

• A contact request in Sanity: an automated cleanup task runs every month and deletes each request whose latest status change was more than 24 months ago. This deletion is permanent.
• The cleanup task deliberately skips requests with the status “Completed”; they remain until we delete them ourselves. If you ask us to, we delete them immediately.
• The email containing your request is also stored in our own inbox. We keep it no longer than necessary for the contact or the resulting assignment.
• Your cookie choice remains in your own browser for 180 days; after that, we ask you again.

How do we protect the data?

Traffic between your browser and the website uses a secure HTTPS connection. A contact request receives a non-public, unguessable document number and is visible only to people with access to our Sanity Studio. The submitted fields are read-only there, so your message remains as you sent it. If storage or email delivery fails, we record only an error code and a technical request number — never the contents of your message.

What rights do you have?

You may ask us at any time for:

• access: a copy of the data we hold about you;
• rectification: correction of inaccurate data;
• erasure: deletion of your data;
• restriction: temporarily suspending processing, for example while a correction is pending;
• objection: objecting to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• data portability: receiving your data in a commonly used digital file or having it transferred.

You can withdraw consent for analytics yourself through the “Cookie preferences” button at the bottom of every page or through the button on the cookie page. The withdrawal takes effect when you make it.

Send a request to info@blueworkersmedia.com. We respond within one month. To avoid giving data to the wrong person, we may ask you to send the request from the email address included in the original enquiry.

Submitting a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please let us know first so we can resolve it together. You also always have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

This privacy statement applies from the date shown at the top of this page. If the website or the way we process data changes, we will publish an updated version with a new effective date.
